ABSLTA Governance

ABSLTA Governance is taken by the Executive Committee

The following activities form part of our governance

  • The Executive Committee amends and decides on the Business Plan.
  • The three-year plan is reviewed annually and amended accordingly based on the progress or lack of progress being made.
  • The constitution of ABSLTA is to be reviewed every three years, and motions to amend the constitution are put forward for consideration at either the Annual General Meeting (AGM) or the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM).
  • The well-being of the Executive Committee members and members are governance responsibilities. Any incidents of bullying, intimidation, or safeguarding breaches are legal responsibilities that require action to ensure they do not happen again, including issuing appropriate warnings or sanctions. The Executive Committee can terminate anyone from its membership if the breach is considered very serious.
  • A report from the Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer will be given out at the Annual General Meeting every year.
