  • ABSLTA Has Officially Become a Charity We’re thrilled to announce our official status as a charity, marking a significant milestone in our journey.
  • Emma, the Chair of ABSLTA, Appears on TV Emma has represented us brilliantly on BSL Blethers, raising awareness and showcasing our work.
  • New CPD Workshops Announced We’ve introduced new CPD workshops, providing more opportunities for professional development through the BSL Teacher’s Lounge and BSL TeachHub.
  • Membership Growth We reached over 100 members in 2023, a testament to our growing community and the value we offer.
  • LESICO 4 Conference Gathering Our members attended a successful gathering in Edinburgh, fostering stronger connections and sharing knowledge.
  • Historical Recovery We recovered an old newsletter from 1989, providing a fascinating glimpse into our past.
  • New Website Launched Our revamped website is now live, offering enhanced access to resources and information.
  • BATOD Article BATOD has written an article about ABSLTA, highlighting our impact and achievements.
  • Collaborations ABSLTA is actively working with other organisations to further our mission and create a broader impact.
  • Social Media Revamp Our social media channels have been revamped to better engage with our community. We have set up Instagram and LinkedIn accounts and recovered our X (Twitter) account. All are now active and regularly updated to keep our audience informed.
  • Patron’s Support Stephen Doughty MP, Patron of ABSLTA, spoke about our 35th anniversary and milestones, celebrating our journey.
  • Judith’s Mention in SET Magazine Judith wrote an article mentioning ABSLTA in SET magazine, increasing our visibility in the education sector.
